I just wanted to write a quick post since I'm here in England on vacay. A last minute surprise from my hunnybunch Darius. We're having a grand old time visiting family and seeing the sights. You can walk everywhere here. We visited his friends in London and went to like 10 bars...oops I mean pubs. They don't call them restaurants over here (even though they sell food) they just call them pubs. And anything that doesn't sell alcohol is just a shop not a restaurant. I don't think I've been to a restaurant since I've been here. Apparently McDonald's isn't even a restaurant. Whatever, I'll never get used to the slang...

crisps = potato chips
biscuit = cookie
pants = underwear
trousers = pants
knickers = underwear
jumper = sweater
cream = cream like you put in coffee but here you put it on desserts :-/
squirty cream = whipped cream
jelly = jello
treacle = golden syrup
bonnet = hood of a car
boot = trunk of a car
car boot sale = swap meet...although you can sell things straight out of the "boot" of your car, most people have tables now
squash = fruit cordial that you mix with water :-/ ...or racket ball
football = soccer
