Quarter Of A Century

Tomorrow I'm turning 25. I'm pretty excited about it actually. My friend just brought in a cake to work for me. Darius and I are going to Vegas for the weekend. We're broke but I'm sure we'll have fun anyway. I can legally rent a car now, not that I don't already have a car, but you know, if we fly somewhere and need a car...I can rent it! Anybody have any suggestions for what I should do to celebrate the big Two-Five?

Ever get that feeling at work that the day is never going to end? I have a little over an hour left and I feel that way. When you're waiting for the boss to call you into his office because he heard you were talking shit about his wife, everyday is long...And the fun doesn't end when I get off work, I have to go home and work on my master's program. Yay! I also have to do dishes and laundry and other fun chores. Oh well, at least I get to be there with my honeybear!

I'm testing out how tblog works on my sidekick. (Pretty well actually) I'm waiting outside of the theatre til Inglorious Basterds is over so Darius and I can go home. I went to see Post Grad but even though it started 35 minutes later than IB, it still finished 25 minutes earlier! I hate Quentin Tarantino movies! Only about 10 minutes left now...I hope. I'm getting ready to start a master's program on Monday so we'll see how that goes. Ok, now to see if this thing even posts...

We just got an XBOX 360 and when Darius gets mad he starts speaking all British. It's crazy. He's playing this stupid boxing game and he is getting so angry at it because it isn't blocking when it's supposed to be. I dunno, I think it's dumb.

Wow, I never thought I'd hear that on TV. In case you were wondering, it's a line from the new Lost Boys 2 movie. I'm going back and forth with the Pineapple Express movie...do I wanna see, or don't I? Speaking of movies...Death Race? That looks so stupid, and the worst part? It's a REMAKE! That means it was already stupid once but someone decided that it needed to be revived. Who makes these decisions? I think we need more writers out there, not re-writers. Why is it so expensive to rent an apartment? I hate that! You have to live somewhere and the space that you are renting is not huge. I hope we get a house soon. Then we can be paying towards something instead of just throwing our money away. I'm gonna go now and pout about it.

I Would Know! I love Katy Perry's CD! You all should go out and buy it. I'm being lazy as usual and trying to postpone doing my homework. I'm watching Platinum Weddings and this girl actually said that she was being conservative with her budget so it's around 350 thousand dollars! If that's conservative I don't know what a liberal budget would be. I went to two weddings last week. I had a great time at both of them and I'm trying to gather ideas that I want to use when I get married. Psych starts next week. You guys should tune in. Well I should go and get back to my homework, talk to y'all later.

I just wanted to write a quick post since I'm here in England on vacay. A last minute surprise from my hunnybunch Darius. We're having a grand old time visiting family and seeing the sights. You can walk everywhere here. We visited his friends in London and went to like 10 bars...oops I mean pubs. They don't call them restaurants over here (even though they sell food) they just call them pubs. And anything that doesn't sell alcohol is just a shop not a restaurant. I don't think I've been to a restaurant since I've been here. Apparently McDonald's isn't even a restaurant. Whatever, I'll never get used to the slang...

Gettin' Lost

Darius and I just started watching "Lost". It's pretty decent so far. I know it's a huge stretch and could never possibly happen, but we're ok with that...so far. I dunno about 4 seasons of it. "Lost" is just a rebound off of "Gilmore Girls". I know it isn't going to be as good, but I think we'll make it. If anyone has any shows on DVD that we should watch, just post a comment.

Oh that? That's just Darius snoring. He is so cute when he sleeps. The Lakers just won game 5 of the series in the playoffs. I have no idea what that means, but I know it's a good thing. I am going to be spending the next 2 days studying my butt off because I am taking the biology CSET on Saturday. If I pass the test and a course in methods, I can get a single subject credential to go along with my multiple subject one that I just submitted all my paperwork for today. I can't believe my credentialing experience is all over. It was fun, though extremely difficult while it lasted. The job market for MS credential holders is not so good right now. If I can teach bio I have a better shot for sure. Schools are always hiring in the math and science departments. His snoring is making me tired and I want to be rested up for tomorrow so I think this is goodnight!

"Oh...Well Don't!" I love "Gilmore Girls". I have been watching it religiously for a while now. I can't get enough and I use it as an excuse to put my homework off. I'm sick right now too. I'm all stuffed up and my throat hurts. I like to complain. I have so much junk to do that I just can't imagine doing it while feeling like crap. I'm going to Vegas this weekend and I want to be feeling tip-top so that I can get all my good party out before I go back into student teaching full-time for 2 months! I love my class and I think they really like me too. I think 6th grade is definitely going to be more of a challenge than 3rd but I will welcome it with open arms. Well I should go now. I'm exhausting myself and no work has gotten done. The wind is blowing furiously outside. I hope I don't get blown away. Ah well, I guess that wont happen since I am inside. Thank goodness.
